Restroom Trailer

A towable trailer built out as a real multi-stall restroom — running water, climate control, and a finished interior for events that want to avoid the "porta potty" feel entirely.

What's Inside a Restroom Trailer

Restroom trailers range from small 2-stall units to larger trailers with 8 or more stalls, and typically include:

  • Multiple private stalls, sometimes with separate men's and women's sides on larger units
  • Running water sinks with real faucets
  • Climate control — heat and air conditioning — for year-round comfort
  • Finished interiors: flooring, wall paneling, mirrors, and interior lighting
  • Some higher-end trailers add touches like background music or countertop finishes
  • Flushing toilets rather than a holding-tank seat

Because of the running water and climate control, restroom trailers need a bit more setup than a standard portable toilet.

Power & Water Requirements

Most restroom trailers need an electrical connection — either shore power from a nearby outlet or a generator — to run lighting, climate control, and water pumps. Water and waste are typically handled one of two ways: connection to an on-site water spigot and sewer/waste line, or fully self-contained fresh-water and holding tanks that your provider services on-site, similar to a portable toilet's tanks but at a larger scale. Site access also matters — the trailer needs to be towed in and parked on reasonably level, stable ground.

Best Uses

Restroom trailers are the go-to choice for:

  • Weddings and upscale outdoor receptions
  • VIP or backstage areas at larger events
  • Corporate events where guest experience is a priority
  • Any event where organizers want restrooms that feel like a real bathroom, not a portable unit

Sizing Guidance

Trailer capacity scales with stall count — a small 2-stall trailer suits a more intimate gathering, while an 8-plus stall trailer can support a large wedding or festival VIP area. Your provider can help match trailer size to guest count, event duration, and whether alcohol will be served.

Looking for a Lower-Cost Alternative?

If a full trailer is more than your event needs or budget allows, a deluxe flushable portable toilet offers many of the same comfort touches — a flush, a sink, a finished interior — at a fraction of the cost and setup complexity.
